This kettle was made in the Edo period (1603~1868), when iron kettles wrote their first stroke in the Japanese history of craftsmanship. This Rain Dragon attracts viewers’ eyes with the very unique rain dragon on the lid. Raising its head to heaven, the delicate small dragon on the lids looks like it is praying for the rain, so skillfully imitated as to be indistinguishable from the original.
