Kigoshi Sanemon is one of the most significant metal craftsmen during the Edo Period. This kettle pot is small and flexible. The hexagon shape allows it to have four different patterns carved on four faces, and the handle resides on the rest of the two faces. Cherry blossom, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum are the representation of literati spirit, they also represent four seasons and a metaphor of eternity. The button on the lid is a hollow cherry blossom with five petals, elegant and exquisite.

此壶作者木越三右卫门为江户时代著名的金工技师。此壶壶身小巧灵便，为六边形，形状特别。六面壶身，四面分别铭梅、兰、竹、菊四种花卉，皆为花中君子，且对应春夏秋冬四个季节。壶纽为镂空梅开五瓣，小巧精致。
